Welcome to the Gamston Flying School Web Site.

Gamston Flying School is a professional, friendly flight training facility based at Gamston Airport, next to the A1 near Worksop. 

We offer a range of flying services including gift vouchers for trial lessons, pilot training for the European JAR Private Pilot’s Licence, Night Ratings, IMC Ratings, Examinations, Revalidations of licences, instructor/pilot hire, aircraft hire and can even arrange aircraft charter if required.  All instruction is given by experienced, fully qualified JAR Instructor’s who all hold a JAR commercial pilot’s licence. 

We have a modern fleet of aircraft, varying in types including Cessna 152’s, Piper PA28’s, a PA28 Arrow, a Cessna 120 (for tailwheel conversions), a DA42 Twinstar and a Piper Seneca V, all of which are used for either training or rental.  Our fleet is constantly being adapted to suit the needs of our customers.
Gamston Airport is a superb training facility which is easily accessible (just 1 minute off the A1) being less than 30 minutes from Sheffield, Doncaster and Lincoln.  We have a long tarmac runway (1600m) and a fantastic cafe/bar on site. 

Our offices are situated within the airport grounds and can be found by turning right once you are in through the main gates and just following the road to the car park at the end.  Our offices are the last building on the left.  The school is open 7 days a week between 9am and 6pm.
